Dukan Diet Fried Tuna Patties
If you do not like tuna, move on. However, if you do enjoy a good tuna dish, keep reading!
This super simple and easily customizable recipe is a decent crab cake substitute and a nice departure from our usual dinner selections!
The recipe below makes two patties for one person, so double if you are cooking for two.
Ingredients:
- 12 oz. large can of tuna in water (not oil)
- 2 tbsp oat bran
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- Seasonings for flavor (garlic, crushed red pepper, paprika, etc.)
Drain water from tuna. Combine tuna with the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Form two patties.
Spray Pam in skillet and put on medium heat (do not start cooking until water sizzles when splashed in the pan). Once hot, place patties in the pan and cook for five minutes on each side (or more if you want the patties crispier).
Take off and eat with salad, ketchup, homemade sauce or plain! Change up the seasonings each time to find the best flavors for your palette.
Enjoy!
